Palm Sunday invites us into Holy Week with a crowd that welcomes Jesus in fanfare and expectation. What are the ways that you are looking for God’s kingdom with high hopes?
Holy Week, which begins in such joy and celebration, soon takes a turn. What is it about the joy Jesus brings which leads others to oppose it? Do we struggle at such joy, too, scattered like confetti?
This week brings us to the gospel’s heart, which shows God’s desire for us. The week goes through joy, community, service, violence, and sadness. Be gentle with yourself and with others this week. It can be a profound and meaningful time, but it can also touch difficult feelings. Talk to others. Hold one another in grace. Listen. Feel. Jesus enters our world to go through all that with you. For you.
