Sunday Morning Worship
Children are always welcome in worship. There is a Prayground at the back of the sanctuary for little ones to rest, wiggle and be in their bodies. Activity bags, Spark Bibles, and Children’s bulletins are available. Most worship times include a time for “Welcoming the Children” where children are invited to come up for a short message and prayer.
Wilderness School
On first* Sundays of the month after worship, we gather for intergenerational learning time in our Community Room. Each gathering includes prayer, song, bible stories and hands-on, creative time. Like the Israelites who journeyed together through the wilderness, we are learning how to be God’s people in community. All ages are encouraged to join.
*except holiday weekends, when we move to second Sundays
Family Camp
St. Timothy has a rich tradition of summer camp ministry through partnerships with Camp Wapogasset, Camp Onomia and others. In the Spring, we invite families on an overnight retreat for devotion, rest and play. In the Summer, the whole congregation joins for an intergenerational weekend away. These opportunities are made accessible and affordable through the generosity of the congregation.
Confirmation
Confirmation at St. Timothy involves regular gatherings during the 7th and 8th grade years, during which we learn an overview of the Bible and topics including the 10 Commandments, the Sacraments, serving others, and relating these to our daily spiritual life. In 9th grade, students meet one-on-one with an adult mentor, looking at worship, service, and faith in daily life. Finally, in the fall of 10th grade, students write faith statements and make final preparations to be confirmed.
Neighborhood Events
