Justice Seekers
“What does the Lord require of you?
To do justice, love kindness and walk humbly with your God.” – Micah 6:8
About us
As a Lutheran congregation of justice seekers, we affirm that all people are created in the image of God. We welcome people of every gender identity, sexual orientation, and all marginalized communities to join us on our journey to love God with our whole being, and love our neighbors as ourselves. We’ve been inspired by our church’s mission and vision to work in community and alongside faith-based organizations in Minnesota that seek justice for marginalized individuals, families and children living among us. We advocate for public policies that remove the gender, race, ability and poverty barriers that impact these communities.
“God is calling us to be a diverse community that welcomes one another to the journey of seeking to love God with all our heart and to love our neighbors as ourselves.” – Matthew 22:37-39
What we do
We work to inspire, educate and activate our church members to seek justice for marginalized people across all aspects of our life in community and in the public sphere. Seeking justice requires that we address the root causes of injustice and its embeddedness not only in our public systems but in our own policies and procedures. Through education and public policy advocacy we are building our beloved community through faith-based partnerships and outreach.
-
Education & Learning – Forums, events and faith-based partner programs will be offered throughout the year.
-
Community Building & Support – Opportunities to gather and support one and other through prayer and inspirational activities that nourish and boost our resolve to keep seeking justice for marginalized communities.
- Public Policy Advocacy & Faith Based Partnerships – Opportunities to advocate for public policies that contribute to all people experiencing God’s justice. These include Minnesota Legislative Session Activities, letter writing campaigns and more.

Prayer for Justice
Loving God, you told us to love our neighbors and do good for the poor and marginalized individuals, families and children living among us. There is so much need in the world and sometimes we feel helpless. Give us the strength to seek justice in our daily lives with love and persistence. Help us advocate for public policies that remove the gender, race, ability and poverty barriers that impact our neighbors. Guide us on our journey to expand hospitality and find a place to call home for those who need one. Grant justice for those who seek it, watch over them and protect them with your grace, Make us all one family, and bless us with your mercy. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
