“In Matthew 18, Jesus says, “For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them.”
Jesus seems to value community, and turns our eyes to the possibilities in smallness (two or three gathered). How do you find community with two or three others these days? Walks? Online with loved ones? Outside? Jesus is present there.
The St. Timothy survey responses keep showing how people miss the regular ways of being together, and are creatively seeking new ways for supportive community. Hear the promise that Jesus is with you even when it seems insignificant. Share that promise as you’re able.
I believe this extends to every living creature, not just human beings. Today, can you give thanks for one living creature and God’s presence there?
Peace, Pastor Hans
