“The tongue is a fire…” (James 3:6)

The saying goes, “sticks and stones can break my bones…” but we know that words matter, and so does James. The tongue, small as it is, can be responsible for incredible harm. The tongue, and language, can also re-shape our reality, expand our imaginations and build connections across chasms of time and space.

How is God moving through the words in your life — whether in a book you are reading, a sermon or podcast you’ve listened to, or a saying that returns to you time and again? How do you choose when to speak, and when to listen?
